Stamp Duty

The e-stamping Portal will be integrated with myTax Portal. To login, select "Stamp Duty" and Login as "Individual User" or "Business User".

For business users who are e-stamping their documents, you must register for an e-Stamping Account ID via the IRAS e-Stamping portal. For existing e-Stamping Account ID, your past authorisations will be retained and you may start to log in to the e-Stamping Portal. To register for a new e-Stamping Account ID, please assign "Corporate" role through Corppass to access the portal. An e-Stamping Account ID will be created when you have successfully registered for your corporate e-Stamping account.

For individual users to perform e-Stamping, please log in via Singpass. No e-Stamping account is required.

  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Select “Account”
  3. Select "Manage GIRO Arrangement"
  4. Complete the online form

  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Select “Profile”
  3. Select “Update Contact Details”
  4. Update the Mailing Address, Contact Information and preferred notification mode.

Make payment for outstanding stamp duty and retrieve Stamp Certificate after successful payment.

For payment via unauthenticated e-Service

  1. Click "Stamp Duty" at myTax Portal
  2. Select "Pay Stamp Duty"
  3. Select "Document Ref No." or "Payment Ref No." and enter the relevant reference number

For payment via authenticated e-Service:

  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Select “Account
  3. Select "Pay Stamp Duty"
  4. Select "Document Ref No." or "Payment Ref No." and enter the relevant reference number
  5. Click “Retrieve"

Register for a SD Account ID to perform e-Stamping Services and enjoy the following features:

The SD Account ID is the unique ID provided for your Stamp Duty registered account.

Note: For Individual, there is no need to register for an account if you are e-Stamping with your Singpass. Singpass users will be able to submit stamping without registering for an account.

  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal with Singpass as Business users
  2. Select “Account”
  3. Select “Register a new Account”
  4. Follow the steps to complete creating an SD Account ID

View and download Stamp Certificates and Stamp Duty Notices/ Letters.

  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Select “Inbox”
  3. Select “Stamp Duty”

To view Stamp Certificates:

  1. Select “Stamp Certificates”
  2. Enter search criteria
  3. Click "Search"
  4. Click on the document to view and download.

To view Stamp Duty Notices/ Letters:

  1. Select “Notices/ Letters”
  2. Enter search criteria
  3. Click "Search"
  4. Click on the document to view and download.

For checking via unauthenticated e-Service:

  1. Click "Stamp Duty" at myTax Portal
  2. Select "Check Stamp Certificate Authenticity"
  3. Enter Document Reference Number and Stamp Certificate Reference Number
  4. Select “Check”

For checking via authenticated e-Service:

  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Select “Check Stamp Certificate Authenticity” on the Overview page
  3. Enter Document Reference Number and Stamp Certificate Reference Number
  4. Select “Check”

You can request for access of e-Stamping record via e-Stamping Portal:

  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Select “Records” > “Manage Records Access”
  3. Enter your "Document Reference Number" of the e-Stamping record which you would like to request access to
  4. Click “Request Access” and confirm the request
  5. The request will be valid for 14 days before expiry. If you wish to withdraw your request before the 14 days expiry, you may click "Withdraw" on the corresponding Document Reference Number
  6. Once the request is approved, you will receive a notification via the portal's notification centre (bell icon)

You will receive a notification for approval via SMS/ Email or via the notification centre once you log in. You may click on the link to approve/ reject the request.

Alternatively, you can approve/ reject a request for access of e-Stamping record via e-Stamping Portal:

  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Select “Records> “Manage Records Access”
  3. View the requests available for you to Approve/ Reject
  4. Review if the request is authorised and click "Reject/ Approve"
  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Select “Records” > “Manage Records Access”
  3. To search for the documents to share enter search criteria in the following fields:

a. Document Reference Number, or
b. Status or Description

4. Select "Search"
5. Select "Manage"
6. Enter Recipient Details
7. Select "Share"

Retrieve all stamping records including draft, submitted, completed or cancelled records.
  1. Select “Records”
  2. Select “Search Records/ Cases”
  3. Enter the search criteria - Reference Number, Record Type or Period
  4. Click “Search”
  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Select “Request”
  3. Select “Amend/ Revise Stamping Record”
  4. Enter the Document Reference Number that you wish to amend/revise
  5. Amend the relevant field and click “Submit to IRAS”
  6. If review is required, you will receive an acknowledgement with the case reference number when your request is submitted successfully.

The amended stamp certificate can be downloaded immediately after the self-amendment upon successful payment (if applicable).

Alternative ways to access this e-service:

  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Under "Popular Services", select “Amend/ Revise Stamping Record”

  3. Select: " Search Records/ Case"
  4. Under Search Results, select "Amend/ Revise Stamping Record" under the Quick Access dropdown selections.

Submit a request online:

Generally, requests will be processed within 2 months. We will keep you informed if more time is needed.

  1. Login to e-Stamping Portal
  2. Select “Request”
  3. Select “Apply for Assessment/ Appeal”
  4. For New Application, select "Assessment" or "Appeal"
  5. Select "Proceed"
  6. Complete the electronic online form
  7. Click "Submit"
  8. You will receive an acknowledgement with the case reference number when your request is submitted successfully.
  1. For existing application, enter the "IRAS Case Number"
  2. Select "Proceed" to follow-up on your application via myTax Mail.

  4. Enter Document Reference Number
  5. Select "Retrieve"
  6. Complete the online form

  4. Enter File Reference Number (if applicable)
  5. Select the "Nature of Transaction" from the dropdown list

  8. Click "Submit"

Pay stamp duty for documents relating to mortgage:

  3. Select “Mortgage”
  4. Enter File Reference Number (if applicable)
  5. Select the "Nature of Transaction" from the dropdown list

  8. Click "Submit"

Pay stamp duties (e.g. Buyer’s Stamp Duty and Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty) and claim for stamp duty remission (if applicable) for documents relating to acquisition of properties:

Stamp duty is computed based on the consideration paid or the market value of the property, whichever is the higher amount.

  5. Select the "Nature of Transaction" from the dropdown list

  6. Select the relevant document description in the "Document Description/ Title" field from the dropdown list e.g. “Sale and Purchase Agreement” or “Acceptance to Option to Purchase”
  7. Proceed to the online form
  8. Check the box “To hold the property in trust for the beneficial owner”
  9. Complete the online form
  10. Click "Submit"

  3. Select “Sale & Purchase”
  4. Enter File Reference Number (if applicable)
  5. Select “Purchase/ Acquisition” in the "Nature of Transaction" field from the dropdown list
  6. Select “Declaration of Trust” from the dropdown list in the "Document Description/ Title" field
  7. Complete the online form
  8. Click "Submit"

For Declarations of Trust/ Trust Deeds under which no beneficial interest passes, you can stamp them in the e-Stamping portal by selecting “Stamping” > “Trust” and completing the online form.

Pay Seller’s Stamp Duty or claim for Seller’s Stamp Duty Remission for Housing Developers for agreements relating to disposal of properties - Sale & Purchase of Property (Seller’s Stamp Duty)

Note:
Stamp duty is computed based on the consideration paid or the market value of the property, whichever is the higher amount.

Stamp certificate will be issued upon successful payment.

  2. Select “Stamping”
  3. Select “Sale & Purchase”
  4. Enter File Reference Number (if applicable)

  8. Click "Submit"

Pay stamp duty for documents relating to buying or selling or transfer of stocks or shares:
